Woodrow Sherman Brandon
Woodrow Sherman Brandon passed from this life Friday, December 26, 2014 at his home in Waurika at the age of 92. He was born October 3, 1922 in Jefferson County to Bill and Ruth Mock Brandon.
He served his country in the United States Army. Woodrow and June Edwards were married in Henrietta, Texas on June 3, 1950. He was a farmer and rancher, and loved hunting and fishing. He was also an avid OU football fan. He was also a member of the Addington Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife June of the home in Waurika, children - Dan Brandon and wife Debbie of Waurika, Oklahoma, Donna Brandon Knapik and husband Bob of Waurika, Oklahoma, Dewey Brandon and wife Brooke of Norman, Oklahoma, grandchildren - Eric Brandon of Roanke, Texas, Amanda Brandon Britt and husband Randall from Iowa Park, Texas, Staci Brandon of Waurika, Oklahoma, Leah, Jordan, and Jetty Brandon, great grandchildren - Hunter and Avery Britt.
He was preceded death by his parents and siblings Glen Brandon and Geraldine Hooper. Funeral service will be Monday, December 29, 2014 at 1:00PM at the Addington Baptist Church in Addington. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-8PM with family receiving visitors from 4-6PM at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Addington Baptist Church.
