William Clifton Cliff Stewart

William Clifton "Cliff" Stewart was born December, 21, 1921 in Waurika, Oklahoma to John Calvin and Annie Elizabeth (Putman) Stewart.  He served his country in the United States Army in WWII. He was a bull dozer operator and a mechanic. He was a member of the Hastings Baptist Church. He and Mildred "Midge" Thurman were married in 1940 in Waurika, to this union were born two children Delores Jo and Doris Jean. He and Minnie Duncan were married in 1951 in Waurika, to this union were born four children Diana Gail, Johnny Lee, Tammie June, and Dail Hailey. 
 
He  is survived by - Minnie Stewart, Children - Delores Jo Williams of Del City, OK., Doris Jean Hanna of Oklahoma City, Diana Gail Poage of Waurika, Johnny Lee Stewart of Hastings, Tammie June Yates of Waurika, and Dail Haley Stewart of Waurika, one sister Jessie Wood of Waurika, fourteen grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
 
He was preceded in death by his parents, six sisters, and one grandson -Cameron Dail Stewart.
 
Graveside service will be Tuesday, April 21, 2009 at 1:00PM at the Hastings Cemetery with T.A. Poage officiating. Services are under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.  Visitation will be Monday from 10AM-8PM. Memorials may be made to Indian Territory Hospice.
