William Albert Prewitt was born December 4, 1921, in Jacksonville, Illinois, to William Henry and Grace Daniels Prewitt. Mr. Prewitt passed from this life Friday, June 11, 2004, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of eighty-two. He was a carpenter and a member of the First Assembly of God in Waurika. He served his country in the Army and Air Force.

Survivors include: four sons - Brent Rassmassum, William H. and Linda Prewitt, Thomas B. and Eddna Prewitt, and Patrick Prewitt; two daughters - Susan Geisen and her husband Harry, and Donna Rowley and her husband Don; two step-sons - Charlie and Mike Halloman; two step-daughters - Robin Madrid and Donna Backer; twelve grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. Prewitt were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at the First Assembly of God Church in Waurika with Rev. Kelly Martin officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
