William Odus Peeples was born August 20, 1938, in Schlangter, Mississippi, to Charles Odus and Edith Evon Peeples. Mr. Peeples passed from this life Tuesday, February 25, 2003, at his home in Duncan, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-four. He was a police officer for the Duncan Police Department for many years. He and Geraldine Boyer were married January 4, 1958, in Duncan, Mississippi.

Survivors include: his wife, Gerri, of the home in Duncan, OK; two sons - Odus Peeples of Virginia Beach, VA, and Charles Peeples of Haltom City, TX; one daughter - Cheryl L. Robinson of New Fairview, TX; one sister, Mary Crowley of Houston, TX; one brother - Eddie Peeples of Vicksburg, MS; seven grandchildren - Kelly Clay Robinson, Ivy Nicole Robinson, Edith Peeples, Lizabeth Peeples, Karla Peeples, Willie Peeples, and Louis Peeples; and two step-grandchildren - Christina Robinson and Bobby Peeples.

He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Ann McGovern, and a granddaughter, Cherie Diane Anderson.

Private family services were held Wednesday, February 26, 2003.

Burial was in the Addington Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
