William Baxter Bill McArthur passed from this life Tuesday, October 9, 2001, at the age of 70. He was born December 29, 1930, to William and Goldie McArthur in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He and Shirley Nell McArthur were united in marriage on January 15, 1950, in Shawnee, Oklahoma.

Mr. McArthur retired as postmaster from Tuttle, Oklahoma. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge, Shriner and Worthy Patron Amigo Chapter of the Eastern Star and was also a member of the White Shrine. He was a Baptist.He was also a veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by: his mother - Goldie McArthur of Shawnee, OK; two daughters - Linda Deane McArthur of Moore, OK, and Lisa Jan McArthur of Guthrie, OK; one sister - Joy Sue Gaines of Golden, CO.

He is preceded in death by: his wife, Shirley and his father William McArthur.

Graveside services for Mr. McArthur were held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 11, 2001 in the Waurika Cemetery with Ken Coleman officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
