William Harold Lowery was born March 10, 1940 in Charlie, Texas to Harrison and Virginia Lowery. He passed from this life on Thursday, September 9, 2009 at Jefferson County Hospital at the age of sixty-nine. William was a Baptist. He was self - employed and enjoyed wood cutting. He and Rosie Rodgers were married February 8, 1959 in Charlie, Texas.
William is survived by his wife Rosie Lowery of the home, mother - Virginia Brumbelow of Byers, Texas, children - Patricia Kelley of Waurika, Peggy Roberts of Henrietta, Texas, Janice Lowery of Wichita Falls, Texas, David Lowery of Byers, Texas and Shirley Stoneking of Byers, Texas, sisters - Pansy Chumley of Byers, Texas, Joyce Burch of Plano, Texas, Helen Bargger of Henrietta, Texas, Sue Wilson of Byers, Texas Linda Loucks of Petrolia, Texas, brothers - Bobby Lowery of Henrietta, Texas and Richard Lowery of Byers, Texas, eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, son - William Jr. in September 2004, and sister Billie.
Funeral service will be Monday, September 14, 2009 at 2:00PM at the Byers Assembly of God with Bro. James Keenum officiating. Burial will be in the Byers Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Visitation will be the funeral home from noon-8PM Saturday and 1-6PM Sunday.
