Wilda I. Martin was born October 13, 1928, in Apache, Oklahoma, to Arley and Lora Margarette Sanders Gilmore. She went to be with the Lord Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at the Nocona General Hospital, after a lengthy illness at the age of seventy-six. She was a homemaker and drove a school bus for Terral Schools for many years. She and Nelson Martin were married in Waurika, Oklahoma, October 14, 1942. She was a member of the Terral Church of Christ.
Survivors include: her husband of sixty-three years Nelson Martin of Terral; two sons - Bobby and his wife Sherlyn of Wichita Falls, TX, and Ricky and his wife Cynthia of Terral, OK; one son-in-law - Joe Ezzell of Wichita Falls, TX; seven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and one sister - Wanda Locke of Lubbock, TX.
She was preceded in death by two daughters - Barbar Ford and Betty Ezzell, and one granddaughter Kimberly Martin.
Funeral services for Mrs. Martin were at 2:00 PM, Friday, June 17, 2005, at the Terral Church of Christ with Larry Jackson and Charles Parker officiating. Burial was in the Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral.
