W.D. Jobe was born June 22, 1921, in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Winson and Viola Jobe. He passed from this life on Wednesday, February 27, 2002, in Comanche, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
Mr. Jobe was united in marriage to Merry Jobe in June of 1938, east of Comanche, Oklahoma. He was an oil field worker, a member of the Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church of Loco, Oklahoma.
Survivors include: his wife, Merry, of the home; one son - David Wayne Jobe of Comanche, OK; two brothers - Warren Jobe of McAllen, TX and Clayton Jobe of Granbury, TX; one sister - Sylvia Sutton of Oklahoma City, OK; three grandchildren - April, Robert and Sommer Jobe; and one great-grandchild - Heather Jobe.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 2, 2002, at 2:00 PM, at the First Baptist Church in Loco, with John Croy officiating. Burial was in the Loco Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
