Wanda Joyce (Godsey) Snider

Wanda Joyce (Godsey) Snider, 73, of Waurika, Oklahoma, passed from this life November 12, 2016, in Lawton, Oklahoma. She was born November 2, 1943, in Pittsburg, Texas, to Verdie "Buddy" and Dora Raynelle (Ryan) Godsey. She married Anthony Snider in Waurika, Oklahoma, on October 30, 1964. She was a Baptist. She loved to shop, especially in thrift stores. She liked to hunt for arrowheads. She spent her fiftieth anniversary at Oklahoma Heart Hospital.

Joyce was preceded in death by her father Verdie Godsey, and her step-father Frank G. Marquardt.

Survivors include: her husband Anthony of the home in Waurika, OK; her ninety-four year old mother Raynelle Marquardt of Grand Prairie, TX; her brother Ernest Godsey of Ft. Worth, TX; her sister June Hensley of Mt. Vernon, TX; her children - Rick Rhea and his wife Rose of Irving, TX, Wanda Threadgill of Gilmer, TX, and Dana and her husband Jim Traywick of Del City, OK; her grandchildren - Amanda Threadgill, Cory and Kayce Threadgill, Alicia and Danny DuBose, Amber Rhea, Richard Chadrick Rhea, Aaron Faulk, Trishia Rhea, Holly Forsythe, Clinton and Bailee Traywick, and Brock Traywick; and her great-grandchildren - Hannah Roach, Sofie Roach, Rowan Threadgill, Nadia Threadgill, Danielle Rose Gomez, and soon to arrive - Joel Traywick.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Mark Kunkel officiating. Services will be under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday and from 9:00 AM to noon Wednesday with the family receiving visitors from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Tuesday.
