Wanda Faye (Robnett) Parks
Wanda Faye (Robnett) Parks, 87, of San Angelo, Texas, passed from this life August 6, 2019. She was born January 3, 1932, in Ryan, Oklahoma, to Clarence and Alice (Bell) Robnett. She married J.E. Parks June 26, 1949, in Ryan, Oklahoma. She was a self-employed daycare owner, and owned Prairie Keepsakes, a gift shop.
Wanda and her husband J.E. were foster parents to many children for several years in Russell, Kansas. She was very active in the Church of Christ wherever she lived, places which included Great Bend, Pratt and Russell Kansas, Berthoud, Colorado and San Angelo, Texas. She served on the Russell County School Board for over ten years and Post Rock Family Services.
She was preceded in death by her parents Clarence and Alice Robnett and her brother Willie Robnett.
Survivors include: her husband J. E. Parks of the home in San Angelo, TX; her sons James Parks and his wife Deb of San Angelo, TX, Rick Parks and his wife Karen of Loveland, CO, Todd Parks and his wife Laurie of Wichita, KS, Chad Parks and his wife Juleen of Greeley, CO, and Brandon Parks of Denver, CO; her daughter Dorrene and her husband Mike Sprecker of Rose Hill, KS; her sisters Dorothy Moore of Ryan, OK, and Eva Miller of Ryan, OK; her grandchildren Brent Parks and his wife Lee, Shaun Mann, Cassie Parks, Lindsey Parks, John Parks, Shelby Parks, Carly Parks, Taryn Parks, Madeline Parks and Justin Parks; her great-grandchildren Brent Parks II, John Wade, Hailie Parks and Elcie Parks; and her great-great-grandchildren Brent Parks III, Ady Parks, and William Wade.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM, Saturday, August 10, 2019, at the Church of Christ in Ryan, Oklahoma with David Wingfield officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
