Wanda Lorene Hill Elliott, age 71, passed away at her home in Comanche on Sunday, October 21, 2001.

Mrs. Elliott was born July 19, 1930, to Fred and Bertie Hill at Durant, Oklahoma.

Wanda married Walter Burton Elliott on September 21, 1950, in Pampa, Texas.

Wanda was a homemaker, loving wife and grandma in the last few years after working many years in the public. She touched so many lives and she will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Survivors include: her husband, Walter, of the home; five sons - Leon and Betty Alexander of Comanche, OK, Walter and Diane Elliott of Spring Hill, KS; Larry and Carol Elliott and Mark Elliott of Comanche, and Kenny and Kasie Shoefstall of Wichita Falls, TX; seven daughters - Sarah and Wayne Weeaks of Caldwell, TX, Mary Best, Tyler and Kristy Yarborough, and Sheridan and Katina Howell, all of Duncan, OK, Carol Ambrose and Erin Hudson, both of Russellville, AR, and Margaret Elliott of Virginia; two sisters - Shirley and Doris, both of the Durant, OK, area; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters and a son, John Darrell Elliott.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, October 23, 2001, at Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche with Randy Weeaks officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
