Wanda Ruth "Davis" Brisco

Wanda Ruth "Davis" Brisco, 75, passed from this life July 6, 2015, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, OK. She was born February 21, 1940, to Charles and Vivian "Morrison" Davis in Clayton, New Mexico. She served as substitute pastor in many churches in Mangum, Duncan and other towns around Oklahoma.
Wanda was a deeply spiritual, sincerely faithful, selfless woman who was loved by many but misunderstood by many more. She fought a courageous battle with mental illness her entire life. Mental illness is an extremely dark and challenging issue for everyone touched by it. As Wanda's family we encourage anyone impacted by mental illness to seek the support and treatment needed to live a happy, healthy life.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vivian Davis, and one brother Larry Davis.
Survivors include: her sons Tommy Lee Nelson of New Mexico and Robert Gene Nelson of Montana; her daughter Stacey Yvette Holland of Utah; her brother Charles Russell Davis of Arkansas; her sisters Marion Tennyson and Linda Harris, both of Texas, and Carol of Massachusetts; her ex-husband Earl Brisco of Marlow, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
