Vickie Lynn Wood was born August 7, 1954 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Roy Hubert and Pauline Smart Ross. She passed from this life Friday, December 26, 2008 at United Regional in Wichita Falls at the age of fifty-four. She worked as the Nursing Home Administrator for many years at Wood's Nursing Home in Waurika for many years, she was also involved in many civic activities at that time.
She is survived by her daughter - Tonya and husband Jason Craig of Lone Grove, Oklahoma; her mother Pauline Ross of Waurika, sister - Glenda Garrett of Waurika, stepchildren - John Wood of Kansas, stepdaughters - Mary Kunkel of Kansas and Carolyn Poole of Waurika, nephews Russell and Ricky Garrett, grandchildren Morgan Craig, Caleb and Brooke Chandler, Brittany, Lauren, Jonathon, Ray, Cory, Candice, J.J., and Kristie, and numerous great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, her husband Virgil, son - Craig, and brother Roy Lee.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 30, 2008 at 1:00PM at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika with Noel Curington officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika.
