Vena Anderson Coffman passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2004, at Starkville Nursing Home. She was born in Bridgeport, Texas, October 18, 1907. She lived most of her life in Oklahoma and moved to Mississippi in 1987. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Starkville.

Mrs. Coffman was preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Coffman, and a granddaughter, Diane. She was a very special mother and grandmother.

Survivors include: her son, Charles and his wife, Lorraine, of Dallas, TX; and two daughters, Fran Herring and her husband John, of Starkville, MS, and Shirley Eiliff and her husband John, of San Antonio, TX.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Dr. McKibben, the staff at Starkville Manor, and to the B Wing aides who have cared for Mrs. Coffman.

Funeral services for Mrs. Coffman were at 12:30 PM, Saturday, October 9, 2004, at the Dudley Funeral Home in Comanche, Oklahoma. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Starkville, Mississippi, for the ministry of her grandchildren in Honduras, Jan and Doug Houston, or to the Starkville Nursing Home.
