Aaron Truett McManus
Aaron Truett McManus was born April 7, 1916 in Truce, Texas to A.E. and Jenny Long McManus. He passed from this life Sunday, February 19, 2012 in Waurika at the age of 95. Mr. McManus was a heavy equipment operator for the State of Oklahoma until his retirement. He and Anna were married in Waurika, Oklahoma in 1935. He was a member of the Trinity Holiness Church in Waurika.
He is survived by his children - Bill McManus and wife Shirley of Ryan, Oklahoma, Sandra Morgan of Waurika, and Charles McManus and Sandy Gilmore of Iowa Park, Texas, 11 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, his parents, five brothers - Luther, Otis, Clifton, Vernice, and Raymon, and sister Gladys Campbell.
Funeral service will be Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at 10:30AM at Trinity Holiness Church in Waurika with Matthew Hunt officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Pallbearers will be the grandsons. Visitation will be Tuesday from 1-8PM at the funeral home with family receiving visitors from 6-8PM. Family requests memorials be made to Trinity Holiness Church in Waurika.
