T.L. Teddy Bowman passed from this life Monday, April 26, 2004, at Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of ninety-one. Teddy was born October 17, 1912, to Logan and Nora Bowman, south of Comanche, Oklahoma. He married Josephine Beck February 23, 1938, in Comanche, Oklahoma. Teddy worked at Sun Oil Refinery until he retired in 1977, after twenty-six years of service. He was very active in the church before being ordained as a Deacon by Maynard Campbell. Teddy was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include: his wife, Josephine, of the home in Comanche, OK; his daughter and son-in-law, Jolena and L.D. Smith; three grandchildren - Curtis Smith of Ft. Worth, TX,

Teddy was preceded in death by his parents, Logan and Nora, one son, Kinnie Bowman, one brother, Karl Bowman, and one sister, Jewel Ryland.

Funeral services for Mr. Bowman were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 28,2004, at the First Baptist Church in Comanche with Rev. Gary Smith and Rev. Gene Jorgenson officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Baptist Church of Comanche.
