Thomas Sewall "Paps" Williams

Thomas Sewall "Paps" Williams, 93, of Terral, Oklahoma, passed from this life at his home on Thursday, July 23, 2015. He was born April 30, 1922, in Salona, Texas (east of Bowie), to Tom and Jewell Richardson Williams. He was a self-employed farmer. He and Bettye Tanner were married October 16, 1950, nearly sixty-five years ago in Terral, Oklahoma. He was a hunter, fisherman and snake hunter. He was a member of ASCS and was a supporter of youth activities, especially agriculture and athletics.

He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter and son-in-law Linda and Roger Gunter, and siblings Floy Woodward, Laverne McKinnley, W.C. Williams, and Lorna Beth Reich.

Survivors include: his wife Bettye Williams, of the home in Terral, OK; son Thomas S. Williams Jr. and Lisa Gililland; grandchildren - Robin and her husband Steven Ross, Shane Williams and his wife Michelle, Janie and her husband Bill Bolin, Doug Gunter and his wife Tara, and Tobi and her husband Jeff Wiest; great-grandchildren - Dillon Williams, Jessie Williams, Riley Ross, Simon Ross, Garrett Bolin, Paige Bolin, Abbie Bolin, Tylr Gunter, Gabi Gunter, Gunn Gunter, Pacen Wiest, Zach Wiest, Michaela Wiest; and numerous nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM, Monday, July 27 2015, at the Cross Brand Cowboy Church in Waurika, Oklahoma with Bobby Don Waitman officiating. Burial will follow in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Pallbearers will be Charles Blevins, Jr., Garrett Bolin, Dillon Williams, Bill Bolin, Jeff Wiest, Steven Ross, and Hunter Christian. Honorary pallbearers will be Pacen Wiest, Riley Ross, Simon Ross, and Gunn Gunter. Visitation will be Saturday from 1:00 to 8:00 PM and Sunday from 1:00 to 6:00 PM, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan, Oklahoma, with the family in attendance from 4:00 to 6:00 PM.
