Sylvia I. Rush was born December 13, 1903, in Vashti, Texas to Daniel W. and Martha Gay Watkins. She passed away Sunday, October 23, 2005, in Waurika, Oklahoma, at the age of one hundred and one. Sylvia was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Waurika.

Survivors include: her daughter Martha and her husband Les Stowe of Waurika, OK; three grandchildren - Rusty and his wife Rita Stowe of Oklahoma City, OK, Dick and his wife Karen Stowe of Tahlequah, OK, and Roger and his wife Lisa Stowe of Osceola, NE; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Eli A. Rush on June 27, 1944.

Funeral services for Mrs. Rush were at 10:00 AM, Tuesday, October 25, 2005, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Rev. Rusty Stowe officiating. Burial was in the Riverside Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
