Stephen Douglas Dennis, age 49, a rancher, died Thursday, March 15, 2001, at his home in Grady, Oklahoma.

Steve was born December 27, 1951, in Ft. Worth, Texas. He was a graduate of TCU and an avid supporter of the athletic programs of TCU. He was a member of Kappa Sig at TCU and a member of the First Methodist Church in Ft. Worth. He was also a member of the Hereford Association.

Steve had many friends, as he never met a stranger. He loved hunting and hosted many hunts at the ranch in Oklahoma.

Survivors include: his mother - Sue Seay Dennis; his father - Skeeter Dennis of Aledo, Texas; two sisters - LaDonna Davis-Oscar of Oklahoma, and Cindy Jones-Benbrook of Texas; one brother - David Dennis of Aledo, Texas; four nephews - Zachary Smith, Tyler Phillips, Binion Jones, and Little Buddy Dakota Dennis; and a niece - Courtney Dennis.

Funeral was at 2:00 PM, Monday, March 19, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Ryan, Oklahoma. Burial was at the family cemetery in Oscar, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
