Sidney Alford Atkins was born August 9, 1913, in Idabell, Oklahoma, to Alexander and Valmer Atkins, and passed from this life August 30, 2003, at Wilkins Nursing Center in Duncan, Oklahoma, at the age of ninety.

He was preceded in death by his wife Flossie Atkins, May 16, 1995.

He is survived by his niece Marylan Gonzales of Duncan, Oklahoma.

Graveside services for Mr. Atkins were at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 2, 2003, at the Sugden Cemetery with Curtis Plant officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
