Theadore Marvin Earnest "Sid" Johnson

Theadore Marvin Earnest "Sid" Johnson, 73, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed from this life Sunday, July 19, 2015, in Oklahoma City. He was born June 26, 1942, to William Cufford and Lillie Jewel "Baker" Johnson. He and Laura Jean "Jeannie" Hood were married January 24, 1965. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2012.

"Sid" worked as an oil field machinist, as an operator and overseer of units in the oil fields until 1992, when he became a truck driver, hauling produce and dry freight. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army. He attended the Assembly of God Church in Ryan. He loved to play pool and was a member of a league in Waurika. He was a member of the American Legion in Ryan and the VFW. He loved helping with fund raisers and bought lots of pizzas, sausage and bacon.

"Sid" was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Jeannie, his in-laws Nelda and Dick Doyal, one daughter Brenda Cleo Johnson, one grandson Chris Rodriguez, and siblings Wilma, Lena, Lonnie and Henry.

Survivors include: children - Eli Charmasson/Joey "Eli" Johnson and his wife Beth of Ryan, OK, Cufford Marvin Johnson and his wife Cheryl of Comanche, OK, daughter Diann and her husband Jimmy Prater of Marlow, OK and John D. Johnson and his wife Brenda of Waurika, OK; brother Gary Johnson of Bonham, TX; sisters Elizabeth "Tea" McGee of Buckhorn, OK, Joyce Lacey of Ryan, OK, and Patsy Hodges of Ryan, OK; grandchildren Joshua Charmasson, Cody Rodriguez, Kendall Johnson, Leland Denham, Leah Denham, Kayla Dozier, and Laura Kay Rodriguez; step-grandchildren Samantha Bohot and Tashia Fields; eleven great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and many other family and friends.

Graveside services for Mr. Johnson will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at the Ryan Cemetery with Bob Waitman officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 PM Monday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika and from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM Tuesday at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Ryan with the family in attendance from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Memorials may be made to the American Legion. Pallbearers will be John Johnson, Kendall Johnson, Martin Villarreal, Darrell Davis, Jake Fletcher, Josh Charmasson and Jim Fletcher. Honorary pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
