Shirley Jean Thompson was born April 10, 1950 in Knox City, Texas to Edgar and Selma Griffin.  She passed from this life Saturday, January 31, 2009 in Waurika. She was a seamstress and a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Stephenville, Texas.

She is survived by her sons- Kevin Thompson and Eric Thompson both of Waurika, two brothers - Coyle Griffin and Roy Ed Griffin, and three sisters - Ann Branch, Lois Claburn, and Mack Stubbs and three grandchildren.
