Shirley Helen Arenz died Monday, February 20, 2006, at her residence in Meridian, Oklahoma at the age of seventy. She was born February 13, 1936, in Chicago, Illinois. She married John Arenz October 8, 1955, in Chicago. In April of 2003, they moved to the Comanche, Oklahoma area.

Survivors include: her husband, John, of the home in Meridian, OK; four sons - Marcel Arenz and his wife Cathy of Chicago, IL, Jack Arenz of Chicago, IL, Richard Arenz of Chicago, IL, and Michael Arenz and his wife Mary of Ft Myers, FL; three daughters - Fern and her husband Dan Martini of Bellevue, NE, Laura and her husband Mike Birdsell of Chicago, IL, and Brenda and her husband Ken Wagner of Ft Myers, Fl; an adopted son - Mark Gozolski of Chicago, IL; a sister - Rosemary Brumfield of Denver, CO; two brothers-in-law - Roy Arenz of Lawton, OK and Cecil Arenz and his wife JoAnn of Lawton, OK; fourteen grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be at 10:00AM Friday, February 24 at West Side Christian Church in Duncan, with Jerry Black officiating. Burial will follow in Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche under the personal care and direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
