Shirley Ann Alsup was born August 4, 1939, in Courtney, OK, to Charles and Limmie Romines. Shirley has lived in this area from birth and moved with her five children to Terral in 1962. Shirley worked all her life raising her children. She married Clint Alsup in the summer of 1989 here in Terral. She died June 12, 2001, in Jefferson County Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was preceeded in death by here parents, eight brothers and sisters, and one grandchild.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Clint, of the home; four daughters - Pam Timberlake of Terral, OK, Paula Tallon of Terral, OK, Joanie Carroll of Bowie, TX, and Kim Lawson of Nocona, TX; one son, Steven Carroll of Thornberry, TX; and two step-children - Karen Reynolds of Henrietta, TX, and Melissa Wooley of Tishomingo, OK.

Shirley is also survived by: one brother - Jimmy Romines of Courtney, OK; four sisters - Loyce Duke of Terral, OK, Joyce Culwell of Wilson, OK, Pearl Davis of Ft Worth, TX and Alice Stearman of Wichita Falls, TX; nine grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and numerous nephews and nieces.

Funeral services were held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, June 14, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Terral with Bro. Tim Hall and Bro. Charles Parker, officiating. Burial was in Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral.
