Ruth Joy Anderson was born September 26, 1936, in Comanche, Oklahoma, to Henry and Nora Hancock and passed from this life Friday, January 10, 2003, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of sixty-six.
Ruth worked a Home Health Care as a nurses' aide.
Survivors include: three sons - Steve Keenan, Brent Keenan, and Mikah Lavey; six daughters - Barbara Ashley, Jean Slater, Gayle Anderlohr, Jarita Smith, Shell Lavey, and Tamy Deal; one brother - Bill Hancock; three sisters - Goldie Brines, Geniva Taylor, and Betty Hendricks; twenty-five grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a lot of good friends, including Carolyn Petty and Mary Jo Allen.
Ruth was preceded in death by her mother and father, a brother, Claudie Lee, a sister, Mary Louvina, and one son, Brian Keith.
Funeral services for Mrs. Anderson were at 2:00 PM, Monday, January 13, 2003, at the Ray of Hope Church in Comanche, Oklahoma with Dow Pannel officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
