Billy Bob Rusty Dean was born June 12, 1938, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to Walter Scott and Ruby Billie Phelps Dean. Rusty passed from this life Friday, September 8, 2006, in Waurika. Rusty had various jobs throughout his life including working on the railroad, carpenter, firefighter, working for Halliburton and also as a recruiter for the Navy. Rusty and Lena Juanita Bingham were married October 21, 1967, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Survivors include: his wife, Juanita, of the home in Waurika, OK; four children - Billy Ray Dean and his wife Linda of Waurika, OK, Nelson Wirt and his wife Julie of Oklahoma City, OK, Tammie Wirt of Waurika, OK, and Lisa and her husband Mike Keesling of Waurika, OK; one brother, James M. Dean of Ft Cobb, OK; three sisters - Bettie Price of Copperas Cove, TX, Roberta and Phil Bush of Waurika, OK, and Virginia and Ruben Mora of Waurika, OK; one brother- and sister-in-law, David and Marie Bingham; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents, and his brothers, Jesse Carl Dean, William H. Pug Dean, Grover Jack Sweet Pea Dean.

Funeral services for Mr. Dean were at 2:00 PM, Tuesday, September 12, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Waurika with Guy Mora officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
