Ruby Dean Miracle Huff

Ruby Dean Miracle Huff, seventy-eight, of Ryan, Oklahoma, died September 8, 2003, at the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika, Oklahoma. She was born December 4, 1924, in Devol, Oklahoma, one of seven children born to Elder E.N. and Beulah Miracle. She attended school and later graduated from Grandfield High School.

Ruby Dean met and courted Robert Lee Huff of Ryan. They were later joined in marriage in Frederick, Oklahoma on May 10, 1945. For a while they lived in Weatherford and Snyder, Oklahoma, before moving to Ryan in 1959, where they made their family home. There they owned Huff's Jewelry and have maintained the business to this date. In addition, they also owned and operated the Gem Theatre in Ryan for several years.

To this union five children were born. Ruby Dean was a devoted member of the Primitive Baptist Church in Grandfield, Oklahoma.

Survivors include: her husband of the home in Ryan; two daughters - Barbara Burton of Tulsa OK, and Diane Breeze of Ryan, OK; two sons - Allen Huff of Oklahoma City, OK, and Terry Huff of Piedmont, OK; one sister Betty Cozby of Burkburnett, TX; five granddaughters; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of good friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law and mother-in-law - the Elder B.L. and Vonnie Huff, a brother, Gilford Miracle, three sisters, Grace Hinkle, Retha Faye Freeland, and Elsie Hester, and one son Roy Franklin Huff.

Ruby Dean Huff was a courageous and compassionate person who was greatly loved by all who knew her. Though her passing has caused much sorrow, her loving memory lives on in the hearts of all her family and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. Huff were at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, September 10, 2003, at the Primitive Baptist Church in Grandfield, Oklahoma with Dale Turner officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
