Ruby Cazady Pearson Bearden,
92, of Comanche, died Thursday, May 17, 2001, in her home. Services
were held at 1:00 PM, Saturday, May 19, 2001, in the Praise Assembly
of God Church in Comanche with W.W. Harkins officiating. Burial
was in the Hennepin Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral
Home of Comanche.
Mrs. Bearden was born September 11, 1908, in Hennepin to David
Anthony and Odie Lucinda Pearson. She married Ben Bearden on May
2, 1942, in Sulphur. She was a homemaker and a cook with the Comanche
school system. She was very involved in church activities at Praise
Assembly of God where she was a Sunday School teacher, member
of the ladies' quilting circle and president of the Women's Ministries.
Survivors include: her husband,
Ben, of the home; two daughters, Linda Northcutt of St Louis,
MO, and Judy Bearden Hales of Flagstaff, AZ; a brother, Floyd
Pearson of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Leola Sheppard and Mary
Juanita McMillan, both of Oklahoma City; four grandchildren; and
two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Pat Jones, Andy Jones, Edgar Owens, Terry Bishop,
David Griffin, and Bobby Funkhouser.
