Rowena Valerie Stovall passed from this life Monday, March 18, 2002, at the age of 76. She was born April 4, 1925, to Roe and Ethel Taylor Oakes in Irving, Oklahoma. Mrs. Stovall was a member of the Irving Baptist Church and was a homemaker.

Survivors include: one sone - Neal Stovall and his wife Linda, of Nocona, TX; one sister - Izora Smith; one grandson - Robert Alex of Abilene, TX; and one nephew - Jimmy Roe Smith of Irving, OK.

She is preceded in death by her parents Roe and Ethel Oakes.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stovall were at 10:00 AM, Thursday, March 21, 2002, at the Irving Baptist Church with Bro.Clarence Mize officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
