Robin Ludine McDonald

Robin L. McDonald was born April 8,1932 in Temple, Oklahoma to Harry and Hazel Moore Davis.  She passed from this life February 3, 2010 at the Jefferson County Hospital at the age of seventy-seven.  She was a graduate of Ryan High School. She was a telephone operator in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was an assistant at the Waurika Elementary School working in the Special Education Department. She was also a dispatcher for the Waurika Police Department and Jefferson County Sherriff's Department for many years until her retirement.  She and Mahlon Harper "Cotton" McDonald were married on December 28, 1953 in Addington, Oklahoma.  He preceded her in death on March 27, 1994. She was a member of the Order of  Eastern Star and served as the Worthy Matron. She was also a member of the First United Methodist Church in Waurika.     
 
She is survived by her children- Karen Johnson and husband Dan of Ardmore, Sheryl McDonald of Waurika, and Ricky McDonald and wife Vickie of Waurika, brothers - Choyce Keith "Brimmer" Davis and wife Jean of Ryan, Max Ray Davis and wife Carolyn of Little Rock, Arkansas, Harry Darrell "Bud" Davis and wife Ann of Saginaw, Texas, and George Harley Davis of Moore, Oklahoma, sisters - Prudence JoAnn "Tootsie" McCann of Moore, Oklahoma and Twyla Kay Darnell and husband Roger of Georgia, grandchildren - Kristina Park and fiance Jose Villarreal, Michael Park and wife Shaureece, Nancy Milliken and husband Todd, and Nicholas Park, great grandchildren - Orion, Olivia, Kasper, Kaine, Alana, Emily, and Aidyn.
 
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
 
Services will be at 2:00PM, Saturday, February 6, 2010 at First Baptist Church in Waurika with Dr. Trevor Smith and Rev. Curtis Plant officiating. Burial will be in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home. Visitation  will be from 5-8PM Friday and Saturday from 10AM-1:30PM. Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.
