Robert Earl Pat Sullivan

Robert Earl Pat Sullivan, seventy-three, of Comanche, died Friday, December 6, 2002, at home. He was born to Arlie and Eva Sullivan on January 12, 1929, in Comanche. He attended Tucker Community School. He married Dora Dodie Lee on April 4, 1949, in Wichita Falls, Texas.

Mr. Sullivan worked for Coleman Corp. in Wichita, Kansas for approximately thirteen years. He moved back to Comanche and worked for General Oil & Tool of Duncan for five years. He also worked for Halliburton for five years. He was a skilled machinist by trade but he preferred the life of a farmer. He was considered a Jack of All Trades but his true passions were coon hunting and church. He enjoyed his time with his family and friends and his two mules, Patches and Sox.

Mr. Sullivan was a member of the Ray of Hope Church, where he served in the Heroes of Faith group. He will be missed greatly by all.

Survivors include: his wife, Dodie, of the home; one son, Bob Sullivan and his wife Hazel, of Comanche, OK; two daughters - Nonie and Mack Guthrie of Comanche, OK, and Diane and Don Richards of Oklahoma City, OK; brothers and sisters - Jack Sullivan and Tony Sullivan, both of Duncan, OK, Johnnie Davis of Yukon, OK, Buddy Sullivan of Reydon, OK, and Shannon Sullivan of Alabama; grandchildren - Tadd Crowson, Christy Bethany, Jessica Sullivan, Lori Wright, Monty Guthrie, Kevin Thomason, and Chad Davis; and eleven great-grandchildren, as well as one on the way.

Funeral services for Mr. Sullivan were at 10:00 AM, Monday, December 9, 2002, at the Ray of Hope Church with Rev. Mike McCord officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche. Pallbearers were Pat Morgan, Alton Smith, Floyd Jackson, Ken Throckmorton, and Wayne Houston. Honorary pallbearers were Roland Goldsmith, Dr. Thomas Crow, and the men of the Heroes of Faith.
