Robert David Boles, M.D., was born March 23, 1950, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Dr. Robert Dale and Beth Marie Boles. Dr. Boles passed from this life Tuesday, October 25, 2005 at the age of fifty-five. David graduated from medical school at the University of Kansas in 1974. He completed his residency at the University of Kansas in 1980. Dr. Boles was a general and vascular surgeon in Idabel,Oklahoma. He was a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.

Survivors include: one son - Dusty Boles of Stillwater, OK; one daughter - Jenni and her husband Evan Hunt of Greensboro, NC; one grandson - Aiden Hunt; his mother - Beth Boles of Waurika, OK; two sisters - Billye Gayle Boles of Pflugerville, TX, and Rebecca Sue and her husband Dr. John Gregg of Sweetwater, TX; and one brother - Jeff Hartwick Boles of Dodge City, KS.

Funeral services for Dr. Boles were at 2:00 PM Saturday, October 29, 2005, at the Temple Church of Christ in Temple, Oklahoma with Ric Jerez officiating. Services were under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika, Oklahoma.
