Robert Levan Blanchard

Robert Levan Blanchard, Sr., seventy-six, of Ryan, Oklahoma, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 13, 2005. Robert, known to his friends and family as Blank or Hawkeye, was born December 3, 1928, in Ryan, Oklahoma. After graduating from Ryan High School he enlisted in the United States Marine Corp. Upon discharge he returned to Ryan and worked for Rock Island Railroad. He married Theresa in July of 1952, and began working for Halliburton Services in 1954. He retired from Halliburton, where he was shop superintendent at the Duncan, Oklahoma facilty, after thirty-nine years of service in 1993.

Survivors include: his wife Theresa, of the home in Ryan, OK; a daughter - Chata Blanchard of Oklahoma City, OK; two sons - Ric Blanchard of Oklahoma City, OK, and Bobby Blanchard of Arlington, TX; and one brother - Lonnie Blanchard of Keller, TX.

Hawkeye was a hard working provider for his family, a loving and caring person to his family and friends, an entertaining character, and a stranger to no one. His passing leaves a void in this world.

Memorial services for Mr. Blanchard will be at 1:00 PM, Tuesday, Tuesday, October 18, 2005, at Ryan Baptist Church.
