Rhonda Sue Jenkins

Born September 16, 1952, in Watertown, South Dakota, I was blessed by good parents and clear memories of all four grandparents. I dearly loved all my aunts and uncles. Ruby Phillips was my wonderful godmother, Joseph Fisher my beautiful godson.
I graduated high school in 1970 in Florence, South Dakota. I completed my studies to become a nurse and followed that path, but my whole world was my children and grandchildren.
I say goodbye to Mom, Genevieve Hogstad, who has always been my best friend, and to my three children who were always my greatest loves - Brett, my oldest son "the voice of reason"; Jeremy who is to me to this day "Baby Jeremy"; and to my baby girl Jennie for whom I waited for thirty-seven years, my princess, "a string you can't see attaches my heart to yours". I leave my beautiful, talented grandchildren - Zackry, Gabriel, Griffin, Aidan, Natalee, and Brantlee.
I am also survived by: my brothers Pete Hogstad and his wife Lesley, and Tony Hogstad and his wife Tonya; my daughters-in-law Angie Jenkins and Lori Jenkins; my son-in-law Adam Evans; nieces and nephews - Crissa and her husband Brett Goodman, Kyle, Carson, Sasha and Chance Hogstad, Madison Lawson; my godmother Ruby; my "extra daughter" Michelle Williams and her family; dear friends and mentors Georgie Miller, Bonnie Sherril, and Sheryl McDonald.
I was preceded in death by my father Reuben Hogstad, my grandparents, Jennie and Alfred Hogstad and Jessie and John Sutherland, and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
I left this life November 20, 2016. I will be remembered by my family and friends at a memorial service at 1:00 PM, Saturday, November 26, 2016, at the Waurika Church of Christ with Noel Curington officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be my beloved cousins - Randy, Danny, Lynda, Laurie, Lane, Joe, and Renee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Nazih Zuhdi Transplant Institute in Oklahoma City. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com.
