Raymond R. Torrez
Raymond R. Torrez was born February 24, 1933 to Jesus Torrez and Bernadina Reyes. He passed from this life January 8, 2014. He was married to Nicklolasa Carranza in Grandview, Texas, on August 23, 1951. He lived in Texas for several years, working as a laborer, moved to Arizona then to San Jacinto, California, and then settled in Colton where he raised his six children. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. He loved to travel with his wife. He moved to Ryan, Oklahoma in 1990, to live his remaining years closer to his brothers.
Mr. Torrez was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers - Trinidad, Margarito and Jesus Torrez and one sister, Adelia Torrez, sons - (infant) Juan, Johnny and Diana Torrez; and grandchildren - Tina Torrez Rivera and (infant) James Torrez.
Survivors include: his wife Nickolasa of the home in Ryan; four sons - Raymond Torrez and his wife Patricia of Ryan, OK, Ricky Torrez of Ryan, OK, Jimmy Torrez of Oklahoma City, OK, and his wife Theresa Torrez Varela of Waurika, OK, and David Torrez and his wife Lisa of Riverside, CA; one daughter - Diana Arellano of Sherman, TX; one brother Frank Torrez and his wife Nancy; one sister-in-law Feliz Torrez; two sisters - Florencia and her husband José Macias of Dinuba, CA, and Dominga of Temple, TX; thirty-one grandchildren, thirty-three great-grandchildren, and hundreds of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Mr. Torrez will be Monday, January 20, 2014, at 2:00 PM, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika, Oklahoma, with Pastor Ray Mayfield officiating. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Waurika from 5:00 to 7:00 PM Sunday. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Homes. Pallbearers will be (B) Jimmy Torrez, Daniel Arellano Jr., Jesse J. Torrez, Richee Gaviria, (B) Raymond Torrez III, and Rudy Balderas. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Torrez, Sr. and Mrs. Margarito Torrez.
