Randolph Arthur Randy Goetz

Randolph Arthur "Randy" Goetz – Comanche, OK Randy Goetz, a resident of Comanche, passed away Monday evening, November 17, 2014 at Duncan Regional Hospital, following a sudden illness. He was 63 years old. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 21st at 11:00 a.m. at Addington First Baptist Church, in Addington, OK with Bro. Ebenhack officiating, under the direction of Comanche Funeral Home.
Randy was born July 9, 1951 at Ellsworth, KS, the second of four children born to Arthur R. and Mabel (Von Feldt) Goetz. The family moved from Kansas to Comanche in the late 1950's. Randy was a graduate of Comanche High School in 1969, and attended Southwestern State University, graduating in 1973. He and Lynda Morehead were united in marriage on January 8, 1972 in Duncan. He worked in management at Westran for many years, and later went in business with his father-in-law, Raymond Morehead, at the Morehead-Goetz Funeral Home. Randy loved yard work, fishing, and golfing. He took great pride in attending his children's school activities. He enjoyed the companionship of his dog, "Kane". Most recently Randy discovered "Facetime" and the opportunity to see his granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife Lynda, of the home; a son, Ryan Goetz and wife Rachel, Houston, TX; a daughter, Lindsey Goetz, Oklahoma City, OK; two sisters: Vickie Apple and husband Randy, Comanche; and Connie Presgrove and husband Tracy, Comanche; one granddaughter, Louisa Goetz, Houston, TX; his mother-in-law, Deanie Morehead, Comanche; several aunts and uncles, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Randy was preceded in death by his parents, step-father, Roy Hays, and a sister, Faith Morris.
