Everett Preacher Jackson was born September 10, 1909 to J. Ennis and Mary Francis Jackson in McKinney, Texas. Preacher passed from this life Sunday, February 4, 2001, in Nocona General Hospital at the age of 91. For all of his life, Preacher was a farmer in the Terral community. On August 16, 1931 Preacher was married to Zola Miller in Wilson, Oklahoma. Zola preceded him in death on October 14, 1993.
Everett Preacher Jackson is survived by: two sons and daughters-in-law - Wayne and Margie Jackson and Jerry Jackson and his wife, all of Terral, Oklahoma; one daughter and son-in-law - Yvonne and Lynn Weatherly, also of Terral; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Preacher was preceded in death by five brothers and one sister.
Services were held Tuesday, February 5, 2001, at 2:00 PM, at the Terral Baptist Church. Burial was in Terral Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Terral. Visitation was at the Dudley Funeral Home from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Monday, February 5. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Terral Cemetery Association or to the Terral Community Center.
