Pirlie Irene Dunn

Pirlie Irene Dunn was born May 28, 1930, in Maud, Oklahoma, to David and Mary Ellen Boyd Miller. Pirlie passed from this life Sunday, April 3, 2005, at the Meridian Nursing Home, at the age of seventy-four. Pirlie and C.H. Dunn were married September 15, 1945. She was a cook at various restaurants and a laundry worker at Comanche County Memorial. She was a member of the Church of God, a dedicated Christian all her life and a Sunday school teacher for many years. She worked hard but always had a smile on her face. She was a foster grandparent for eight years.

Survivors include: five daughters - Linda Bailey and her husband George of Springfield, MO, Wilma Fitzgerald and her husband Paul of Duncan, OK, Jean and her husband Bill Brown of Duncan, OK, Bonnie Quincey of Duncan, OK, and Patricia Yanez of Ft. Worth, TX; fourteen grandchildren; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, three sisters, and one grandson.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dunn were at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, April 6, 2005, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel in Comanche, Oklahoma, with Charles Shuffield officiating. Graveside services were at 12:00 Noon at the Sunset Cemetery in Lawton, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Comanche.
