Perry Wayne Person was born December 20, 1935, in Hastings, Oklahoma, to Elfy Myrl Lisby and Richard Perry. Wayne passed from this life Saturday, May 26, 2007, at Duncan Regional Hospital at the age of seventy-one. He was a farmer, building contractor, and U.S. mail carrier. He was retired from the Volunteer Fire Department in Hastings. Wayne was a member of the First Baptist Church. He was a competitive domino player at the Hastings Senior Citizens Center.

Survivors include: his wife Gloria, of the home in Hastings, OK; two daughters - Susan and her husband David Whitfield of Diana, TX, and Sandy and her husband Ross Bartling of Waurika, OK; one sister - Frances and her husband Rev. Carl Garrett of Webb City, MO; and four grandchildren - Lindsay and her husband Clinton Green, Daniel Whitfield, Reece and Skylar Bartling.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Aaron Person, and one sister Velda Herron.

Funeral services for Mr. Person were at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, May 30, 2007, at the Hastings Baptist Church with Rev. Carl Garrett and Noel Curington officiating. Burial was in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hastings Fire Department, Hastings Senior Citizens Center, or the charity of your choice.
