Peggy Louise Cain Scheel was born March 18, 1934, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to J.C. and Irene Cain. Peggy passed from this life Thursday, September 22, 2005, in Tyler, Texas, at the age of seventy-one. She was a graduate of Ryan High School. Peggy and W.B. Scheel were married on October 11, 1962, in Henrietta, Texas. She was a longtime resident of Conroe, Texas, and a member of the United Methodist Church. She worked for the District Attorney’s office in Conroe, Texas, until her retirement.

Survivors include: her husband, W.B. Scheel, of the home in Tyler, TX; one son - Craig Scheel and his wife Cindy, of Tyler, TX; one daughter - Becky Curtis Carney of Tulsa, OK; five grandchildren - Jeff Goebel and his wife Jennifer, Megan Carney, Chris Scheel, Caleb Scheel, and Cory Scheel; her grandchildren - Austin Goebel and Grant Goebel; two brothers - Doc Cain of Ardmore, OK, and Don Cain of Henrietta, TX.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one son, Chuck Curtis.

Graveside services for Mrs. Scheel were at 2:00 PM, Monday, September 26, 2005, at the Ringgold Cemetery with Reb. Bob Waitman officiating. Burial was under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
