Peggy Jean Beare was born July 14, 1930 in Ryan Oklahoma to Fred and Annie (Campbell) Beare. She passed from this life October 20, 2007 in Brush, Colorado at the age of 77. She was a homemaker, USMC Radio Tele-type operator, and US. Immigration and Naturalization Service officer until her retirement. She served her country in the United States Marine Corp from January 1951 to June 1952. She was a member of Women Marines Association and Women in Military Service for America Memorial Foundation, INC.

She is survived by two sons Edward Gates and wife Carolyn of Columbus, Georgia, James Gates and wife Susan of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two daughters; Pamela J. Gates of Ft. Worth, Texas and Tracy L. Gates of Monterey, California; two brothers, Bill Beare of Ryan, Oklahoma and John A. “Buddy” Beare and wife JoAnn of Mesa, Arizona, one sister; Nadine Livingston of Houston, Texas, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, five brothers, one sister, and one son, Timothy James Gates

Funeral service will be Friday, October 26, 2007 at 1:00PM at the Ryan Assembly of God with Rev. Lynn Plant officiating. Burial will be in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Condolences may be sent to www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com
