Opal Luell Dale passed from this life Thursday, July 17, 2003, at the Jefferson County Hospital, at the age of eighty-three. She was born August 19, 1919, in Wise County, Texas, to Lewis and Edna Carlile. Opal married Elvin Dale in Addington, Oklahoma. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Elvin died on November 12, 1972.

Survivors include: one son - Johnny Dale of Ryan, OK; one sister - Edna Osborne of Chickasha, OK; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lorene Terry, in 1990, one brother, and three sisters.

Funeral services for Mrs. Dale were at 10:00 AM, Saturday, July 19, 2003, at the Assembly of God Church in Ryan with Paul Ratliff officiating. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan. Pallbearers were Stanley Barnes, Dewayne English, Rick Phillips, David Underwood, Duane Wade, and Curtis Plant.
