Oneita Ruth Green
Onieta Ruth Green, 89, Fort Worth, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 8, 2018, surrounded by her family at Texas Health Alliance.
Born in Waurika, Oklahoma, June 22, 1928, Ruth attended Oklahoma schools. She met and Married A.R. Green July 25, 1945.
Her entrepreneurship began on a 160-acre Oklahoma farm raising cotton for cash crop. She then went on to managing appointments and collecting 25 cents per wash that amounted to 120 dollars a month by renting out two Wringer Type Maytag washers.
Ruth was a well loved citizen of Azle, TX where she and A. R. owned and operated the Western Auto for 30 years. Ruth was excellent at dealing with the public, which made managing the business quite successful. After the closing of Azle Home and Auto she continued her love of business by working at Motts 5 & 10 Store in Azle, TX.
Ruth is preceded in death by A. R. Green and her son Sherrell Green.
An exemplary mother and grandmother, Ruth is survived by Karen Passmore, Linda Cunningham, Laura Winkles and Phyllis Rodriguez, 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. She was an inspiration and a blessing from above and will be missed greatly by those who knew and loved her.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon, Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at the Brown Owens & Brumley Family Funeral Home Chapel in Ft Worth, Texas. Burial will follow in the Waurika Cemetery in Waurika Oklahoma.
