Ollie Mae Powers was born October 20, 1910, in Russell County, Virginia, to Samuel G. and Barbara Ellen Cooper Jessee. She passed from this life Wednesday, November 24, 2004, at the Duncan Regional Hospital, at the age of ninety-four. She and W.G. Powers were married in Kentucky. He preceded her in death in 1964. Mrs. Powers was a homemaker and worked for more than twenty years for Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church in Tennessee.

Survivors include: one daughter - Barbara Webster of Duncan, OK; two grandchildren - Sherry Dabbs and Carmen Mehta; four great-grandchildren - Tina Clark, Jeffery Dabbs, Donald Dabbs, and Jordan Mehta; four great-great-grandchildren - Evan, Wesley, and Alexa Clark, and Katelynn Dabbs; and one great-great-grandson, who is due in early 2005.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, ten brothers and sisters, and one great-granddaughter, Marcia Mehta.

Funeral services for Mrs. Powers were at 2:00 PM, Friday, November 26, 2004. Burial was in the Ryan Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Ryan.
