Odessie Rosalee McClarty
Odessie Rosalee McClarty was born September 24, 1921 in Hastings, Oklahoma to Charley L. and Emma J. (Barnes) Proctor. She passed from this life Monday, May 23, 2016 at Temple Manor Nursing Home at the age of 94.
She worked many years for the 5&10 store in Temple and Waurika. She retired from the 5&10 store and started taking care of the ladies at Temple Manor as their beautician. She married Louis McClarty March 15, 1940 in Hastings, Oklahoma. She attended Hastings Baptist Church. She also loved to crochet and sew.
She is survived by her children - C.L.McClarty of Hastings and daughter Lucretia Parkey and her husband Billy of Temple, Oklahoma, grandchildren -Kendall Goss and wife Sara, Kendi Wortley and husband Chris, Leslie Snider and husband Rusty, great grandchildren - Hailey and Chett, Baylee, Marcelus, and Declan, and Shyann and Rowdy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and 10 siblings.
Funeral service for Mrs. McClarty will be Friday, May 27, 2016 at 11:00AM at Hastings Baptist Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 9AM-8PM with family receiving visitors from 6-7PM at Dudley Funeral Home in Waurika. Memorial contributions may be made to the Hastings Cemetery.
