Nova Jeane (Preston) Robnett

Nova Jeane (Preston) Robnett, 83, passed from this life August 14, 2016, in Duncan, Oklahoma. She was born February 23, 1933, in Cyril, Oklahoma, to Homer Milton and Cleva Elizabeth (Donnell) Preston. She married the love of her life, Ray Pete E. Robnett on April 16, 1952, in Saint Jo, Texas.
Nova graduated from Goldburg High School in 1951, and attended Coffeyville College where she maintained a four point grade average. Nova and Ray made their home in Terral and Ryan, Oklahoma, then moved to Duncan when Ray began his career with Halliburton Services. Ray was transferred to Coffeyville, Kansas where Nova thrived, making numerous friends and providing a loving home. They returned to Duncan in 1982. In 2009 Nova and Ray moved to Waurika, Oklahoma to be closer to their son and grandchildren.
Nova was a loving and kind wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Nothing gave her more joy than cooking for family gatherings or taking her grandchildren on numerous trips. She was the glue that held her family together.
Nova was preceded in death by her parents, brother Donald Preston, sister Doris Staley and niece Sandra Preston.
Survivors include: her husband, Ray, children - Ray Robnett, Jr. and his wife Cindy of Waurika, OK, Rebecca and her husband Lorenzo Collins of Ardmore, OK, and Debra and her husband James Keith of Oologah, OK; siblings - Douglas Preston and his wife Roberta of Scottsdale, AZ, Daryl Preston, PHD of Berkley, CA, Elizabeth and her husband Marvin Buck of Nocona, TX, and Jerry Preston and his wife Roberta of Ft Worth, TX; grandchildren - Casey Robnett and his wife Sheila of Bella Vista, AR, Jessica and her husband Eric Thompson of Waurika, OK, and Ryan Benson and his wife Candace of Washington, OK; and great-grandchildren - Hudson Robnett, Owen Robnett, and Preston Robnett of Bella Vista, AR, Evan Davis, Addison Thompson, and Griffin Thompson of Waurika, OK, and Haskell Ryan Benson of Washington, OK; and numerous loving nieces and nephews.
Graveside services for Mrs. Robnett will be at 10:00 AM, Thursday, August 18, 2016 at the Terral Cemetery in Terral, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika. Visitation will be at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Wednesday with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
