Neva Gillespie Lovett

Neva Gillespie Lovett, eighty-seven, died May 6, 2004, in Cheyenne, Wyoming. She was born June 10, 1916, in Ryan, Oklahoma to James Robert and Addie White Gillespie. She grew up in the Irving, Oklahoma community and graduated from Irving High School.

She worked in Civil Service in Washington D.C. during World War II. After the war, she married Leon L. Lovett March 10, 1946, in Wichita Falls, Texas. She was a homemaker and worked in the nursing care profession. After raising her family in Wichita Falls, Texas, she moved to California where she lived until moving to Cheyenne, WY in 1994. She was affiliated with Cheyenne Christian Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Survivors include: two daughters, Becky Lovett Anders of Cheyenne, WY and Donna Lovett of Denver, CO; one sister, Ida Mae Johnson of Walhalla, SC; and many nieces and nephews.

Her parents, two brothers, Willie and Lester Gillespie and one sister, Lorena Kendrick, preceded her in death.

Burial was be in Waurika, Oklahoma. Friends who wish may contribute to a charity of their choice.
