Nathaniel H. Fowler was born July 3, 1930, in Waurika, Oklahoma, to A.L. and Grace Smith Fowler, and passed from this life January 23, 2004, at Cedar Falls Care Center in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of seventy-three.
Nathan served his country in the U.S. Air Force. He was a member of the Waurika Masonic Lodge and a member of the First Baptist Church in Hastings, Oklahoma. He was employed as a U.S. postal contractor and self-employed rancher. Nathan and Gladys Ruth Guinn were united in marriage August 13, 1949, in Gainesville, Texas. They celebrated fifty-four years together.
Survivors include: his wife Gladys of the home in Wichita Falls, TX; one son - Weldon Wayne Fowler of Athens, TX; one daughter - Donna Denise Brown of Waurika, OK; one brother - Albert Lee Fowler of Ringling, OK; one sister - Ann Welch of Duncan, OK; six grandchildren - David Fowler and Emilie of Wichita Falls, TX, AngieEsquivel and ARt of Victoria, TX, Stephanie Brown of Waurika, OK, Sharla Brown of Waurika, OK, and Timothy and Christopher Brown of Waurika, OK; and two great-grandchildren - Dylan and Christopher Esquivel.
Funeral services for Mr. Fowler were at 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 24, 2004, at the Dudley Funeral Home Chapel with Ken Coleman officiating. Burial was in the Fairlawn Cemetery in Comanche, Oklahoma under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
