Nancy Way

Nancy Way, age 82, passed away peacefully March 11, 2021. She was born May 9, 1938 in Waurika, Oklahoma to Charles and Fern Clutz. She married her high school sweetheart, Jimmie Way, and they enjoyed 62 wonderful years together.
Nancy lived her life to the fullest. She graduated from Waurika High School, went on to study at Midwestern State University, and then worked several years at Halliburton, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Her greatest joy in life happened with her arrival of her daughters, Angela Way and Banda Way Fountain. During this time, with the help of her mother-in-law Cutis Way, she made the hobby of collecting Antiques into a thriving business in 1965 working non-stop until her passing in 2021.
Nancy loved her small community of Waurika. She served as Chamber of Commerce President, worked on the Jefferson County Election Board, and was a founding member of the Waurika Depot Committee. Nancy and several dedicated friends worked tirelessly to restore the Rock Island Depot. She was also instrumental in the preservation and restoration of the Presbyterian Church in Waurika. Active in the Republican Party, she served as the Jefferson County Chairman for many years.
Even with all this, Nancy was a dedicated wife and mother foremost. She treasured her husband and daughters Angie and Banda. She especially loved her role as "Meme" to granddaughter Scarlett. Vivacious and headstrong with a one-of-a-kind personality, Nancy will never be forgotten.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Fern Clutz, and her husband's parents, Jim and Cutis Way. She is survived by her husband Jimmie; daughter Angela Way and son-in-law John Golden; daughter Banda Way Fountain and son-in-law John Fountain; only granddaughter Scarlett Fountain; sister Doris Nan Rice and Tia Strecker; and brother-in-law James Mitchell. Remembered by her many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Nancy's sister June Mitchell crossed over together with Nancy on March 11, 2021.
The Memorial Service is March 17, at the Waurika Methodist Church at 11:00 a.m. where we will celebrate the life of Nancy Way. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Online condolences are welcome on www.dudleyfuneralhomes.com.
