Mildred Groseclose was born May 2, 1911, in Ft Worth, Texas, the oldest child of Zack and Alma Trice, and passed from this life Thursday, February 16, 2006, at the age of ninety-four. She grew up in Ryan, Oklahoma and graduated from high school in 1929. She later attended business college in Ft Worth, Texas. Mildred and Frank Groseclose were united in marriage August 10, 1932. They returned to Waurika where they both worked with Frank's father in the grain business. They moved from Waurika to Ft Worth in 1946, where they owned and operated a feed store until their retirement in 1986. They moved back to Waurika for their retirement years.

Survivors include: a niece, Patricia Moore of Oklahoma City, OK; and other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two sisters and three brothers.

Funeral services for Mrs. Groseclose were at 11:00 AM, Thursday, February 23, 2006, at the First United Methodist Church in Waurika with Rev. Trevor Smith officiating. Burial was in the Waurika Cemetery under the direction of Dudley Funeral Home of Waurika.
